Ohene Kwame Frimpong

Biography

Ohene Kwame Frimpong is the current Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante-Akim North constituency, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He ran — and won — as an independent candidate in the 2024 general election attended Aggrey Memorial Senior High School, later studied at Central University College in Ghana, and then at College of North East London (CONEL), UK.
Before becoming an MP, Frimpong was an entrepreneur and media-owner: I founded a media company known as Salt Media GH, which includes radio station Salt 95.9 FM, Salt TV, and the news portal saltfmonline.com. I has been involved in several community development and philanthropic initiatives in my hometown and constituency: I supported the construction of a classroom unit at Saviour M. A. School in Asante Akyem Agogo — a contribution to improving educational infrastructure. I funded the reconstruction of the Agogo Central Mosque — a significant religious and community institution.
